YGGDRASIL

Yggdrasil es el árbol de la vida que mantiene unido los nueve mundos en la mitología nórdica. El árbol de la vida es eternidad, conexión con la madre tierra, paz y armonía con los elementos de la naturaleza.

A los pies del árbol se encontraba el dios Heimdall que era el encargado de protegerlo de los ataques del dragón Níðhöggr y de una multitud de gusanos que trataban de corroer sus raíces y derrocar a los dioses a los que este representaba. Pero también contaba con la ayuda de las nornas que lo cuidaban regándolo con las aguas del pozo de Urd. Un puente unía el Yggdrasil con la morada de los dioses, el Bifröst, el arcoíris, todos los dioses cruzaban por él para entrar en el Midgard.

Poder controlar desde la elaboración del tejido hasta su entrega nos permite saber y minimizar cual es nuestra verdadera huella de carbono. Por ello confeccionamos todas nuestras colecciones en España, de forma local, desde la selección de la materia prima hasta la última costura. Utilizamos tejidos que cumplen con certificado STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® (es la etiqueta ecológica más utilizada en el mundo para garantizar que los productos textiles etiquetados han sido analizados ante más de 300 sustancias nocivas).

Otra cosa importante para nosotros ha sido poder ponerle cara y saber el nombre de cada una de las personas que están involucradas en nuestra armaduras, y queremos que vosotros también los conozcáis.

Nuestra patronista, la sra. Pili, es el lápiz de nuestras ideas. Queremos que vosotros, nuestros atletas, tengáis el nivel de comodidad que necesitáis, para eso es importante la tecnología de nuestros tejidos pero también el diseño de nuestros patrones, con ello conseguimos que vuestra única preocupación sea dar un punto más en los entrenos.

Igual que Mjollnir, el martillo de Thor, fue forjado por Brokkr nuestras armaduras le deben su robustez a Dami, Luisa y Sandra. Ellas son quien forjan nuestras prendas hilo a hilo, hacen que todo lo imaginado antes se haga realidad. Junto con Ferran que plasma nuestros diseños en las prendas, son todos ellos los que nos hacen brillar al enfundárnoslas, justo antes de ese largo silencio que escuchamos antes de darlo todo en el entrenamiento.

Conocer a todo este equipo de personas nos hace tener una trazabilidad completa en nuestras prendas ya que controlamos cada paso del proceso (aún nos queda pendiente producir las gorras, pero es algo en lo que estamos trabajando). Esto es sólo una breve mención de algunas de las personas que intervienen en el proceso de fabricación, pero a ese equipo hay que añadirle a nuestros compañeros de diseño, ventas y de distribución.

Somos conscientes que cada proceso de nuestra cadena de producción tiene un impacto en nuestro planeta, por eso queremos minimizar al máximo esa huella de carbono que dejamos, además de impulsar un modelo de producción 100% local para así apoyar a nuestra comunidad.
